Ask More Questions

Whether you’re designing a logo, choosing promotional products, or developing a new marketing piece, the outcome depends heavily on one thing: communication.

And the secret to good communication? Ask better questions.

Good Design Starts with Understanding

Before pen hits paper (or cursor hits screen), we ask questions. Who’s the audience? What’s the goal? Where will this be used? The better the questions, the clearer the picture. And when we truly understand what you need, the creative work becomes more focused, effective — and a whole lot more impressive.

Vague Questions = Vague Results

If the brief is “just make it pop,” that could mean a dozen different things to a dozen different designers. But if you say, “We want something bold that stands out at trade shows and appeals to tech-savvy professionals,” now we’re getting somewhere.

Clear, thoughtful questions help shape clear, thoughtful answers.

It’s a Two-Way Street

At Stargate Design, we don’t just wait for you to tell us what you want — we ask. A lot. We dig into what your brand stands for, what your customers care about, and what success looks like to you. That back-and-forth process leads to stronger ideas and smarter design solutions.

Better Conversations = Better Results

Here are just a few questions we might ask before getting started:

  • Who is the end user?

  • What does success look like for this project?

  • How will it be used — online, in person, mailed?

  • What do you want people to feel when they see this?

  • What’s missing from what you’re using now?

Because when the conversation is good, the results speak for themselves.

Curious about what questions we’d ask for your next project? Let’s talk. We’re all ears — and ideas.
